| Manuela Damant
| As a young girl Manuela Damant always joked she’d wait to have babies until she could have them ‘in vitro’. So when she fell pregnant last year she knew there was no way round the fact that she finally had to address her own fears around birth. Using her background in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic-Programming) & Coaching she began to look into the past and present of giving birth and was surprised to find out that there is a different story that needs to be told: that birth can be hugely transformational and empowering. Is the thought of giving birth scaring you? Would you like some practical tools that will help you deal with these fears? Then this is the workshop for you! Learn how with the help of NLP you can begin to face birth calmly and confidently. Find out more at www.levantercoaching.com.
| | Pregnancy Yoga | Irmtraud de Wreede | It is during pregnancy that a woman becomes more aware of her body. Yoga helps you truly connect with what life is all about. “Learning to listen to your body and having faith in your own strength” is the main motto of Irmtraud's teachings/ lessons. For Irmtraud, yoga is a natural and effective way to get in touch with the source of life and inner strength. That synchronization is central to her work with pregnant women and her partners. A lot of attention is paid to breathing and the influence of breathing on emotions such as fear, pain and restlessness. Hatha yoga and breathing exercises help you almost immediately transform/grow and are profound. For more information see www.yogaidewreede.nl (in Dutch). | What a Chiropractor can do for you and your baby
| Marianne van der Steen | In this presentation Marianne will explain the foundations of chiropractic medicine, how it works (in general) and how problems may arise. More specifically, she will go into the problems that may occur during pregnancy and (early) childhood, explaining what a chiropractor can specifically do for these two particular patient groups.
| Baby Signing – Your baby can do more than coo and cry
| Nadine Meijer
| Nadine believes that your baby can do more than coo and cry to show you her wishes. Using baby signs to communicate with your baby is a proven and fun way to enable your child to express her thoughts and desires. From the age of one, babies can use this wonderful way of communicating. Babies who are able to ‘talk’ using signs, will have less need to cry or throw a tantrum. And a happy baby means: happy mom & dad! In this 1-hour workshop you will learn what baby signs are and how you can use baby signs to communicate with your baby. Together you’ll learn situations where baby signs are useful, what signs are best to introduce and how you should sign. You will also briefly discuss the effects of baby signs on speech development.

| | Music in Pregnancy and Music on the Lap | Felice van der Sande

| Baby Slings/Draagdoeks
| Melissa Budding and Mascha Vermazen
| Nothing feels like a cuddle with your baby. Two bodies wrapped in a warm embrace. Or could there be something even better? Well, how about an extended cuddle? A one hour, two hour or even half a day cuddle? Impossible? Not at all. Not when you are carrying your baby in a sling. Nothing feels as close, comfortable and secure as carrying your baby in a sling and studies suggest that babies who get carried in a sling regularly cry less. Well, if that’s not another good reason to do so? Come to this workshop to learn how to properly use your sling. Slings will be available for rent for your use during the fair. The cost is just 1 Euro (plus 10 Euro deposit). |
